The elevators were better than last year. And so were the stairs (*shudders* last year's stairs were pretty bad...)

One day we will have a hotel where nobody is staying except quizzers (and related persons), and nothing is happening except quizzing (and related activities). Until then, well, I guess we're stuck on earth. (Or in a hotel that is planning on staying open after nationals is done.)

This year the location was perfect, except for having to cross the street to get to the arch and finding a place to park. The hotel was great, except for the elevators on Saturday night, and even then I had only 6 floors to go up on the stairs. I wish I had known more of the songs in worship, as it was it felt like it was almost more important to be loud than for people to understand.

The biggest drawback this year was the number of teams. If every person there could just get one more person to come to nationals (recruit 2, since not everybody will be able to come to nationals) then we would have 90 teams at nationals. Anybody want to say that can't happen? It can if we try. I am going to be working on getting a couple of teams from our church, and if I get to go back to college this fall I'll try to get at least a couple of teams from the Northern VA/Washington DC area. I think that Badgerland will have at least 4 teams next year, and hopefully 5 or 6.

There were some interesting people in the hotel as far as people not associated with quizzing... That was probably due to the baseball games.

We got another church involved this year at our ministry but they weren't very committed, too interested in school and such

Bah!

A lot of our really good quizzers didn't go to Nationals this year because of school and/or other activities... they really should just "see" Nationals and then I think that they will be excited about it!

Next year, there is even the possibility of non-quizzers driving down to watch!

we've never had it quite that bad. Up to this point our good quizzers have been the type who we can get to go along (Josiah didn't quiz one year but that worked out anyway) and we had one non-quizzer coming along with us this year because it was her senior year and she wanted to see what Nationals was like

Yeah, I had to go to the back because it hurt my ears. I guess I had kinda' mixed feelings about it. Part of me said that I couldn't figure out how this was worshiping God, and the other said that if I just let myself worship him I would be. Idk

Yeah.

I know that there were a few people from our ministry that didn't sing some of the songs (my family included). Some of the songs just didn't seem right... y'know?

Like the one that said, "I wanna be your lover..."

We didn't really like that one...

"Inside, outside, upside". You forgot the outside. I loved all of the songs and the music in general especially the first night. Fun fun
