MWTFC Nationals update

So I talked to Jim C today and he told me that we have 56 quizzers registered for Nationals. That means we'll have only 8 teams this year; can't remember the last time we only had 8 teams but hopefully the quality level of the teams will be higher.

I seriously think that 3 of our teams could make the top 10 again at Nationals. Last year, if you remember, we had 3 in the top 10: Revelation (4th), Sundown (9th) and Mishka (10th). Revelation and Sundown should be up there again but I think Mishka will be replaced with the John 1 All-Star team. They've got a pretty solid top 5 quizzers which almost rivals Sundown's top 5.

I'm coaching Sundown again this year. Jim is coaching Revelation, again. (Next year might be my chance at coaching Rev, stay tuned). Becky Geppert will be coaching the second Mark league team. I also heard that Kevin Geppert has been asked to coach the "mixed" league team, which would be a combination of Mark and John league quizzers. I'm assuming Jason Blackford is coaching the John league all-star team. At this time, I don't think we know who will be coaching the Matthew or Luke "all-star" teams...but they probably aren't expected to contend too much this year.
